Update from the President

Dear alumni and friends,

Happy new year. I hope that 2016 will bring you all peace, joy and prosperity.

2016 has been an exciting year at Richmond already. Richmond has just been awarded accreditation with the British Psychological Society which means graduates in Psychology will gain a BPS accredited award at graduation.

In the coming months, we will greet our American accreditors, Middle States Commission on Higher Education for our decennial review and we eagerly await the response from the Quality Assurance Agency about our application for taught degree awarding powers in the UK. These are important milestones in Richmond's history and projects that our faculty, staff, students and trustees have been hard at work helping us achieve.

As I am sure you are aware, Richmond is dedicated to providing high quality international education and these important projects will ensure that we are ready to meet the challenges that lie ahead of us. In the Autumn of 2016 we will be launching a new Freshman Year in Florence and this summer we have opened our summer school to non-degree external international students. The School of Business has gained professional accreditation for our degree programmes and we are launching a new Institute for Leadership and Management which will be running professional development short courses.

I hope that each of you will find the time to reconnect with us whether this is in your home country or here in London.

We greatly value the input and support of our alumni and friends. I look forward to seeing many of you when we host our 30-year alumni reunion this summer at Richmond.

Best Wishes, John Annette, President
