Update from the President

 Dear Alumni,

We have just had the congregation for the Class of 2017 at Cadogan Hall near Sloane Square  and it was a great occasion. We said goodbye to Annie Herring an administrator who was awarded an honorary BA degree and we had three honorary doctorates: Sir Alec Reed, a leading businessman and philanthropist, Lord David Willetts an ex Minister of Higher Education and Science and Gaia Trussardi, Creative Director of the Trussardi Group and who is also an alumnus and a Visiting Professor of Richmond University. We celebrated the diversity of the student body and renewed our commitment to internationalism and a cosmopolitanism which is based on an openness to diverse cultures.

We are now waiting to see how many students will be taking up our offers to study at the University for this Fall 2017. We are competing with many universities to recruit the best European, International, US and UK students. If you are able to contribute to the scholarship fund it would be greatly appreciated as this is proving to be a difficult time for universities in the US and the UK for recruiting students. We are determined to maintain Richmond University as a truly international university.

Yours Sincerely,

John Annette, President & Vice Chancellor
